Your Path to Becoming a Pilot
Embarking on your aviation journey is an exciting and rewarding experience. At Lechene Aviation, we guide you through each step, from your first Discovery Flight to obtaining your desired ratings. Here's an overview of the typical progression:
Discovery Flight: Your introduction to flying, where you'll experience the thrill of taking the controls under the guidance of an instructor.
Private Pilot Certificate: The foundation of your flying career, allowing you to fly solo and carry passengers. Estimated hours: 40-60 hours.
Instrument Rating: Enhances your ability to fly in a wider range of weather conditions by teaching you to fly solely by reference to instruments. Estimated hours: 40-50 hours.
Commercial Pilot Certificate: Enables you to get paid for flying, opening doors to various aviation careers. Estimated hours: 190-250 hours.
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI): A common next step for building flight hours while teaching others. Estimated hours: Varies.
Additional Ratings: Including multi-engine, seaplane, and others, depending on your career goals.

Evektor SportStar
A modern, two-seat light sport aircraft designed for beginners. The SportStar offers excellent visibility and responsive handling, making it ideal for initial flight training. Its simplicity and agility help new pilots quickly develop fundamental flying skills and confidence in the cockpit.
Piper Arrow
A versatile, four-seat aircraft equipped with retractable landing gear and a controllable-pitch propeller. The Piper Arrow is perfect for pilots advancing beyond the private pilot level who want to train in a complex aircraft. It provides invaluable experience with systems management and performance flying, essential for commercial pilot certification.
